2012 ASRC Retreat

posted Jan 30, 2012 1:45 PM by Jonathan Adams
On February 3-5, 2012, the Appalachian Search and Rescue Conference (which MARG is one of nine member teams of) will hold a weekend retreat at the Blackburn Trail Center in Bluemont, Virginia.  A handful of MARG members will be traveling down for this event and we look forward to the information that they'll bring back to the rest of the team.

For more info about the retreat, you can visit the event page here: http://asrc2012retreat.eventbrite.com/

About the ASRC:
The Appalachian Search & Rescue Conference (ASRC) is a non-profit wilderness search and rescue organization that provides professional volunteers trained in search management and field operations for missions in the mid-Atlantic region.  Services include all-weather search and rescue for missing persons and downed aircraft, complete search and rescue management, as well as safety and survival education.  Our conference is comprised of individual groups of professional volunteers who dedicate extensive amounts of time for rigorous training, search missions, group functions, preventative instruction, and public awareness.  We have over 25 years of experience and our organization routinely trains other state, federal, and other local government representatives in the art of search and rescue.  With nine teams spanning six states and over 400 active members, we are one of the largest SAR resources in the country.
