Objectives: Your team has been requested by the local responsible agent to assist with the search for a missing person.  You team is the first to arrive.  What do you do?  Each team will be given a scenario and will be required to establish a chain of command.  Once command is in place teams will request resources in order to perform a number of simulated tasks.  Teams will be judged on the number of tasks that are completed in the least amount of time.  However, consider that each task being assigned has a “pre-determined” time limit.  For example, utilization of a 5 person ground team to search a 40 acre area will cost 5 minutes while an air scent dog team will cost 3 minutes to search the same size area.  Within the scenario, judges will ask teams to will make a “shift-change” such that team members will be required to change ICS positions.  Teams will have a maximum of 1 hour to complete this exercise.

-         Forms, maps, paper, pencils, etc.

 Additional Material Required/Permitted (Not provided by organizers)

-         Any material carried by teams is permitted

 Rules:

-         All “GENERAL RULES” apply.

-         Any use of unauthorized material will result in a time penalty of 60 minutes.

-         Teams will be required to keep track of their time on task. 

-         Failure to perform mission critical tasks will result in a time penalty of 5 minutes.
